Our Conductors lead from the front – do you?

WANTED - Regional RepresentativesThe new collective aspirations of the NABBC have been challenging but absolutely necessary to meet and support your aspirations.

During the past year we have launched a new, interactive website; developed new partners and networks; made a bid for additional funding; proposed extensive changes to our constitution; restructured our regional committees by engaging with nationally elected regional representatives to support regional needs; introduced several new strategies including supporting Youth Conductors and Female Conductors and extended our Technical Clinicians programme to offer support from many of the country's leading practitioners to all our members.

Financially, there have been many changes including the provision of e-copies of The Conductor that will save the Association a significant proportion of monies raised through annual fees which may now be used to provide additional practical opportunities for our members.

A new President, Editor, Secretary and pro-active work with many brass banding enthusiasts has provided us with new collective aspirations, initiatives and opportunities to extend our working parameters; but we need your help.

We need pro-active, inspirational regional representatives; conductors or Associates who are passionate about both the national and regional standard of brass band music making; members who are both able to help us to stop the decline of brass banding in the UK, willing to lead by example in order to improve brass band conducting and, happy to share their musical experiences to benefit others.

We now believe that we are in a position to meet the demands and new needs of our members in the 21st century. We are happy to share our progress thus far at our 2013 Convention and encourage every one of you to join us in order to share your views and aspirations. Only then may we, together as an Association appreciate the challenges before us and share the workload required on the journey to meet our Association and members aspirations.
